04 May Queen calls “emergency meeting” at Buckingham Palace sparking frenzy
by Matthew Martino
The Queen has taken the unusual step to call her entire Royal household to an “emergency meeting” this morning.
Staff were called in the middle of the night and are due to be addressed by senior officer of Royal Household Sir Christopher Geidt.
Whilst staff from various Royal residencies across the UK were summoned to London even very senior Royal aides didn’t know what the meeting was about, early speculation had pointed out that it might be concerning the monarch or her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh.
Royal editor Robert Jobson took to Twitter to say “My understanding re so called Buckingham Palace “emergency meeting” is there is no cause for alarm.”
