01 May Premier League Club to thank fans with local ice cream
Saffron Walden based, The Saffron Ice Cream Company has today announced that they have been commissioned by Watford Football Club to produce dairy ice cream for them to thank their loyal fans.
Watford FC, who are currently on course for their highest ever finish in the premier league, wanted to thank young fans and with the delightful spring weather that is predicted for this weekend, thought ice cream was a great way to do this.
The Saffron Ice Cream Company have produced 5,000 personalised tubs for the Hertfordshire club with a message of ‘Thank you for your support’. The tubs will be given to those in the family section of the Vicarage Road Stand on Saturday 5th May as Newcastle United visit for the last home game of the 2017/18 season, where the usual carnival atmosphere is promised!
Watford FC decided to impress fans with ‘Finest Vanilla Pod’, which was a gold star winner at the 2016 Great Taste awards, highlighting that it is amongst the best ice cream produced in the country.
