Pop-up Furniture and Christmas Shop Opens In Southend

05 Nov Pop-up Furniture and Christmas Shop Opens In Southend

HARP, Southend’s leading homelessness charity, is excited to announce the opening of their new Pop-Up Furniture Shop and Christmas Grotto on the site of the old Gainsborough Carpets shop at 821 London Road, opposite Chalkwell Park.

The new shop will sell a wide selection of high quality pre-loved furniture and act as a donation drop-off point for supporters of the charity.

Over the festive period, the shop will also host a Christmas Grotto where, rumour has it, a certain Mr and Mrs Claus may be making an appearance… watch this space!

The shop will open to the public on Wednesday 9th November at 9.30am, and the Grand Opening is set for Saturday 12th November, also at 9.30am.

The shop has plenty of on-site parking so is perfect as a drop-off point for all donation types.

The charity is calling on the local community for support, appealing for shop volunteers, donations, and Santa Claus and Mrs Claus volunteers to help bring Christmas to life for local families.
Anna Wallace, HARP’s Head of Charity Shops, said: “We are so excited to launch our new shop opposite Chalkwell Park. We have tonnes of amazing furniture and Christmas stock, and we can’t wait to welcome the local community to pop in and see what we’ve got on offer.

“As with all HARP shops, 100% of the profits from the shop will go towards supporting our services for local people affected by homelessness, so by donating, volunteering or shopping with us, you’re making a positive difference to the community!”
