Plans to build 30 homes in Little Clacton have been given the green light

18 Dec Plans to build 30 homes in Little Clacton have been given the green light

Plans to build 30 bungalows on land off of London Road in Little Clacton have been given the green light.

Tendring District Council’s Planning Committee heard the proposed development would be accessed via Stonehall Drive, a private road owned by the applicants which would be upgraded to accommodate the new homes.

The committee was told that although the site was outside of the existing village boundary, it was allocated for housing under the emerging Local Plan.

The development of two and three-bedroom homes was deemed to be sustainable as it was close to local facilities.

Members of the Planning Committee approved the planning application, subject to a legal agreement being signed with Tendring District Council to agree a contribution towards public open space in the area.

There were objections from local residents and the parish council to the plans.
