11 May PLANET ORGANIC CONFRONTS UK’S BAD SUSHI HABIT WITH ORGANIC RANGE LAUNCH
The latest exciting new range launch from Planet Organic is set to hit shelves at the start of May. The supermarket, loved by its customers for its high-quality sustainable food offering, brings organic sushi to customers for the first time in the UK.
While sushi is widely considered to be a healthy option, the sushi available on the market, both at supermarkets and restaurant chains, typically contains a lot of MSG and additives, while the fish is often sourced unsustainably. The new range from Planet Organic aims to combat those pitfalls, with the provenance of its organic ingredients – including organically farmed fish – across the 14 dishes currently included ensuring the range is a cut above the rest.
Of those 14 dishes, 10 contain organic fish while the 4 remaining dishes are vegan – a development which represents another big step forward for sushi lovers who favour a plant-based diet.
Sophie Davies, Senior Buyer, Fresh Food & Drink at Planet Organic, said, “The launch of our organic sushi range is the latest step for us on the journey to a more sustainable future, while maintaining the high standards of delicious, convenient food which our customers have come to expect from Planet Organic. We’re really excited to be initially launching the 14 dishes and have plans to expand the range in the future, so watch this space.”
The range launches across Planet Organic’s 13 London stores from Tuesday, May 3rd, and to make the launch even sweeter, stores are offering a FREE Feel Good drink with any organic sushi purchase throughout the month of May.
