07 Sep Perrywood Garden Centre Delivers Houseplants to Local Schools In Essex
Houseplants can be hugely beneficial to our health. Tiptree based Perrywood Garden centre is on a mission to boost concentration, improve air quality and reduce stress levels by visiting local schools in the area and providing them with free houseplants. This forms part of Perrywood’s overarching theme running throughout the centre this year – Health and Happiness.
The award-winning garden centre has launched its ‘Houseplants for Schools’ campaign for the second year running. The purpose of the campaign is to give pupils the opportunity to meet Perrywood’s expert houseplant team, learn about how to look after houseplants and discover the many benefits they can bring.
Perrywood is currently visiting eight local primary schools, where children will be able to choose a plant for their classroom. The schools involved in the campaign are: Hamilton Primary School, King’s Ford Primary School, Prettygate Junior School, Lexden Primary School, St Teresa’s Primary School, Home Farm Primary School, Gosbecks Primary School and Stanway Primary School.
Health and happiness has been a key theme for Perrywood throughout the year and the ‘Houseplants for Schools’ campaign is a great opportunity for the team to give back to the community. Perrywood is hoping to spread this happiness with local schools and help to brighten up their workspace making students feel happier, less likely to feel anxious and boost energy within the classrooms.
