Independent Hip Hop artist Peltsman, is one of the UK’s freshest new urban talents and a top 20 finalists in MTVs Brand New Unsigned 2014. His unique tone and style blends classic old skool Hip Hop with a commercial edge, appealing to a very wide audience which has established a huge UK fanbase known as #Pelters

We had a cheeky little interview with him …

Q. How did the name come about ?
Peltsman – The name come about after school mates branded me as pelts because I was a fast runner, running for my school and Kent.
Q. What are your thoughts about the unsigned Urban scene in the UK ?
Peltsman – I believe that at the moment we have a strong urban UK music scene, which has developed rapidly in the last year or so. Artists are now venturing out to the USA to perform with levels of growth which have never been seen before.
Q. You played Soccer Six recently, how was that experience ?
Peltsman – Soccer Six is a good platform to promote your music to a new audience and I have enjoyed the times I attended with chances to network with many different artists.
Q. You count 50 Cent and Eminem amongst your influences – what impresses you the most about their music ?
Peltsman – I think in the beginning with 50,  I just loved the way he flowed so effortlessly over beats and glamourised gangster rap which at the time I loved. Eminem has just been so prolific, continually evolving and adapting to meet the needs of the music industry. Which is why I think he the best ever.
Q. Everyone is talking about your new banger G.R.I.N.D, whats the story behind it ?
Peltsman – G.R.I.N.D was an attention grabbing single to gain interest from the grime scene and urban radio stations. It’s a track that tells a story of how I will fight and grind for my rightful place in the UK music scene.
Q. Whats an average weekend like for you ?
Peltsman – Normally I’ll be making music most of the week and weekend or attending events. I do however like to get away and play football or do sports when I can.
Q. What would you like to say to all your fans and supporters?
Peltsman – I would like to say thank you for supporting me on my journey and I owe everything to you guys for helping me reach where I am. I am honoured to have you on board with me.
