18 Jul ParkLives return to Southend for the summer
Southend children, young people and families can look forward to a summer of free weekly outdoor activities, for the third year running, thanks to Southend-on-Sea Borough Council’s popular ParkLives.
Led by the council’s Sport and Leisure Team, experienced instructors from community sport and physical activity organisations will deliver more than 30 free activities across Shoebury and Chalkwell parks from the end of July, through the summer and into September.
These free, fun, and informal activities will include scooter sessions, street basketball, parkour (free running), dodgeball, rounders and bootcamp. The 12-week programme starts on Tuesday 17 July in Shoebury Park, with dodgeball and rounders.
Advance booking is advised to secure a place on any of the sessions, or you can take your chance and show up and play on the day.
To book your space, or for more information, please contact Kirsty Horseman, Sport and Leisure Team at Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, on 01702 212057 or email
