Papa Salt Coastal Gin, the award-winning gin from Australia, has officially arrived in the UK. With a shared passion for gin, Josey McNamara, Tom Ackerley, Margot Robbie, Regan Riskas and Charlie Maas sought to create a delicious, easy-to-drink gin that captures the feeling of an idyllic Australian beach day.
Having begun as a passion between five friends, after five years it is finally reaching the shores of the UK. The goal? To make a spirit that makes a classic dry martini and mixes well with soda water, in addition to the beloved gin and tonic. Hero serves include: The Salty Dog – Papa Salt Gin, crushed ice, grapefruit juice and a wedge of lime and the Papa Paloma – Papa Salt Gin, fresh lime juice, grapefruit soda and rosemary salt.
Papa Salt was developed with the award-winning Lord Byron Distillery in Byron Bay, Australia, and the team from LBD now operate the Papa Salt distillery next door. Papa Salt is produced with zero-waste and the facility operates entirely on renewable energy.
The taste highlights distinct Australian botanicals like wattle seed, wax flower, and oyster shell, creating a citrus forward gin with a hint of spice and an incredibly smooth finish.
Papa Salt sold out within 48 hours in the Australian market, due to popular demand.
Tom Ackerley, co-founder of Papa Salt, comments “I’ve always loved seeking out new gins and sharing them with friends. That’s truly how Papa Salt started, with sessions in our garden, and we hope that’s how you’ll enjoy Papa Salt this summer.”
