Owner and Stylist at TONI&GUY Billericay Finalise in The Modern Barber Awards 2020

15 Oct Owner and Stylist at TONI&GUY Billericay Finalise in The Modern Barber Awards 2020

Jim Shaw, Owner of TONI&GUY Billericay and Premium Stylist at the salon, Daisy Carter, have finalised for the Modern Barber Awards 2020 Best Photographic Entry category.

Through the toughest of times the industry has shown its mettle and the awards could not have picked a better time to reward the industry and stars within with the announcement of the finalists.

The Awards, organised by hairdressing trade magazine, Modern Barber, are a chance for industry professionals to shout about their creative and commercial success, celebrate the industry and support peers.

To enter the awards, Jim and Daisy had to submit a photographic entry showcasing their barbering skills and expertise, alongside information on how they created the hairstyle submitted. Entries were judged before Jim and Daisy were announced as one of six finalists in the Best Photographic Entry category.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Modern Barber Awards 2020 will now be a virtual event held on Monday 7th December where Jim and Daisy will find out their fate and if they have won the category.

Winning awards for their men’s hairdressing and barbering skill is not something unknown to Jim and Daisy who both won the British Hairdressing Awards Men’s Hairdresser of the Year category last year, giving them the current title of Men’s Hairdresser of the Year. The duo also won the Best Men’s Commercial Collection category at the International Hairdressing Awards In February for the second year running with their men’s hairdressing work, branding them as two of the best men’s hairdressers in the world.

Jim Shaw, Owner of TONI&GUY Billericay commented, “I was thrilled to be announced as one of the finalists for the Modern Barber Awards this year with Daisy. It’s been an extremely hard and challenging year for many of us. With the salon closing for a few months and then reopening and getting back on track with the right guidelines in place it’s been difficult, and this award has come at such a great time and gave myself and Daisy something to be really excited about.”
