19 Jun Over 300 performers to take part in 2018’s Take the Stage
Over 300 young performers aged 5-21 from across Essex are set to perform at this year’s Take the Stage event in Southend.
Following the success of their inaugural performance show last year, Take the Stage will be back at The Cliffs again this year on Sunday 8th July, with 10 brand new schools onboard.
Take the Stage was setup to give children the chance to perform at The Cliffs Pavilion, as this prestigious, professional venue had become inaccessible to young performers due to the hire costs associated with a theatre of this size. Last years show was a huge success and the demand for places proves just how many young performers still dream of dancing on a professional stage.
The show is the brainchild of TV presenter and actress Amy Burrows who hailed the event “an opportunity to bridge the gap between young performers and otherwise inaccessible venues”
