09 Jun NSPCC marks Childhood Day in Colchester
There is no need to head to the woods today for a Teddy Bears get together; instead just head to Culver Square Shopping Centre in Colchester on Friday, June 10.
The NSPCC team will be hosting a Teddy Bear stand in the city centre in celebration of the charity’s national Childhood Day. Shoppers will be invited to visit the stand and see the unique collection of NSPCC bears, with the chance to buy a bear for just £8 to raise valuable funds for the charity.
Each of the exclusive collection of bears have been provided courtesy of the Build a Bear Workshop and are available with a charming NSPCC decoration.
Childhood Day is a national event organised by the NSPCC with the aim of bringing everyone across the UK together to have fun and remember the importance of protecting children. Supporters of the charity are encouraged to fundraise, donate, volunteer or take action, to play their part to help keep children safe.
Katie Skingle, owner of KAT Marketing and Chair of the Colchester NSPCC Business Group, commented: “We are delighted to be hosting this NSPCC event in Colchester City Centre to mark Childhood Day. Our childhood is such a precious time for all of us and forms the foundation of who we become as adults. Everyone should have the right to a safe and happy childhood and that is why the work of NSPCC is so important. We can’t wait to share the NSPCC’s unique Teddy Bears with the people of Colchester.”
