31 Aug Newly appointed NWG director has UK leading leakage target in her sights
Northumbrian Water Group (NWG) have appointed a new water director and she’s wasted no time in setting out the company’s ambition to be game changers when it comes to tackling leakage.
Dr Eliane Algaard will be joining the company from October 8th and has over 20 years’ experience in infrastructure asset management and business planning in the Water and Rail sectors.
She is a chartered civil engineer with an MSc and PhD in civil engineering from Glasgow University and is a fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
Joining NWG from Network Rail, Eliane started her career at Veolia Water where she carried out a number of different roles, including Network and Leakage Strategy Manager, when she had responsibility for the development of a £130m 5-year capital programme.
Eliane will be based predominantly at Sandon Valley House in Essex and will be responsible for spearheading Essex and Suffolk Water’s (ESW) ambitious plans around water quality and catchment management, water efficiency and leakage.
