New Men’s Health ‘Morning Champions’ programme launching in Braintree

15 Feb New Men’s Health ‘Morning Champions’ programme launching in Braintree

Registered charity, Fusion Lifestyle are pleased to announce a new holistic ‘Morning Champions’ Programme’ specifically designed for men, at two of their Braintree leisure centres. The programme, running over ten consecutive weeks, is aimed at combating social isolation and men’s physical and mental health through exercise and mindful practices. The classes will start from Tuesday 5th of March at Halstead Leisure Centre, Colne Road, Halstead and from Wednesday 6th March at Witham Leisure Centre, Spinks Lane, Witham.

Morning Champions is an ideal way for men who may not be exercising regularly or who have been socially prescribed by a community or health agency to improve their social connections, mental health, and overall well-being. Body work sessions are geared towards building strength and fitness levels as well as increasing functional mobility, whilst the holistic aspects aim to reduce stress, anxiety and enhance positive mental health and well-being.

The programme is available in two different classes: Holistic Warriors and Mindful Champions: Holistic Warriors is a powerful morning routine to kick start the day, utilising natural bodywork, boxing conditioning and resistance training – aimed at improving alignment and body movement. Mindful Champions sessions are a calming, yet powerful blend of Yoga and Pilates, with relaxation via breathwork and body awareness. These sessions can follow on from the morning session or can be booked as a standalone session.

Morning Champions sessions run on the same days and times during the 10-week programme:

Halstead Leisure Centre (from 5th March):
Tuesday Mornings: Holistic Warriors 07:30am to 08:20am – Mindful Champions 08:30am to 09:20am

Witham Leisure Centre (From 6th March) : Wednesday Mornings: Holistic Warriors 07:30am to 08:20am – Mindful Champions 08:30am to 09:20am

Members and centre guests at both centres will be able to book onto the groups, but a reserve of ten places at each centre will be held open for referral clients who will be able to access the ten weeks at their chosen centre for free. Both sessions end with a short group discussion enabling the participants to give feedback, chat and connect with each other in a relaxed and inclusive environment.
