27 Feb NEW LOOK CHANNELS OPENS ITS DOORS THIS WEEKEND
Following the re-opening of the new look Bar & Brassiere restaurant on Saturday 4th March which includes a special day of activities for both families and adults alike, the Channels country estate is opening its doors once again to brides-to-be at a prestigious wedding open day on Sunday 5th March.
Situated on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Little Waltham just to the north of Chelmsford, The Channels Estate is host to two of the finest wedding venues in Essex.
Brides-to be are being invited between 10am and 3.00pm to get a feel of the destination and preview the facilities allowing time to plan and imagine their special day whilst enjoying a complimentary glass of champagne.
Channels recommended suppliers will be in attendance to offer advice and suggestions, including florists, cake makers and entertainers. With 120 weddings already booked during 2017, Channels’ experienced team of wedding co-ordinators will be on hand to discuss options available and to answer any questions.
Katie Squire from Channels explained, “We have two distinct locations on the estate to get married enabling us to offer elegant sophistication or a party atmosphere; a fine dining wedding breakfast for selected guests or an evening finger food buffet for friends and family. This flexibility makes Channels the perfect choice of wedding venue.”
The beautiful 17th century Essex Barn, which will be hosting the open day, has a minstrels’ gallery, beams and mood lighting, is located at the heart of the Channels parkland estate and has space to comfortably offer fine dining for up to 130 people or ample room for 200 at an evening reception. Outside, in the stunning ceremony garden, the bride and groom can tie the knot under the pavilion while their guests watch the proceedings from the antique wooden pews. The extensive grounds, fountain, lilly pond and avenue of mature trees all provide those all-important backdrops for photographs.
For smaller, more intimate gatherings, The Courtyard Suite at Little Channels is ideal. With space for 70 people at the wedding ceremony, 90 invited guests to enjoy a sit down meal and 150 partygoers at an informal reception, the original 19th century complex creates the perfect, welcoming atmosphere and has exclusive use of a beautiful, flagstone courtyard.
Brides-to-be will also get the chance to check out the luxurious accommodation on offer. The 15th century Channels Lodge hotel, which has been tastefully converted and now consists of two honeymoon suites, three luxury suites and twelve executive rooms, is the perfect accommodation for any couple planning their very special day.
