A new drop in service for homeless people in Brentwood is being launched

In partnership with Barbell Girls, Brentwood Street Pastors and Frontline Partnership the Brentwood Leisure Trust will be hosting a weekly drop-in service to support people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in Brentwood and the surrounding area.

Based at the Brentwood Centre every Friday from 11.30am -1pmuntil Easter this pilot project will provide a signposting service to local organisation that are there to support.

The Fitness In Mindâ„¢ Brentwood team will be available every week to support with mental wellbeing and access to their free programme, plus they will be inviting representatives from Brentwood Borough Council, Brentwood Citizen’s Advice, Brentwood Foodbank, Brentwood Job Centre, Family Mosaic, Healthwatch Essex, and local supportive groups.

The drop-in provides a welcoming and non-judgemental space and a hot drink. Volunteers will provide signposting to local organisations that are available to help elsewhere and access to local organisations that are available to help here.

The scheme will also be giving out items like rucksacks, sleeping bags, flasks, plus warm clothing and toiletries.

Donations are welcome and can be dropped of at Trinity Church, Coxtie Green Road, Brentwood.
