To coincide with October half term and Halloween, Chelmsford For You in partnership with Chelmsford City Council are staging a ‘Monster Invasion’ throughout the city centre, running from Monday 18th until Sunday 31st October.

The centre piece of the fun will be giant monsters located at six key locations throughout the city centre to form a striking display designed to brighten up the Autumn streets, create some excitement and become a talking point for residents and visitors alike.

The ‘Monsters’ taking part can be seen at the following locations:
Monster Name
Punkroctopus Octoplasum Groaner Goofs Tentacles Chomper
Monster’s Lair
The Meadows Entertainer Outlet Quadrant
High Chelmer Natwest
Bond Street/Wagamamas

It’s rumoured that the Monsters have arrived in Chelmsford looking for their friend the Essex Serpent, who has gone missing from the River Blackwater.

They know the Chelmer and Can Rivers flow into the Blackwater and wonder if the Serpent has stopped in the City!

But who are the Monsters? What do they look like? And how can you help them in their search for their friend?

Everyone is encouraged to go on a ‘Monster Hunt’ to find them all. Take a picture with your favourite monster or taking part in a one of the activities scheduled, Tag ChelmsfordForYou and add the #CFYMonsters on Instagram for the chance to WIN up to £250!

A location map will be available to help you hunt the Monsters…
