Monkey Shoulder and Wingmans team up to create limited-edition wings and cocktails this summer

06 Aug Monkey Shoulder and Wingmans team up to create limited-edition wings and cocktails this summer

Monkey Shoulder, the 100% malt whisky that’s made for mixing, has partnered with London’s hottest wing restaurants, Wingmans, to present two deliciously new limited-edition menu items created using Smokey Monkey Shoulder whisky, the sweet smoky variant from Monkey Shoulder: Drunken Monkey Wings and a twist on a classic old fashioned cocktail with the Smokey Cherry Old Fashioned.

Known for its tasty internationally inspired variations on classic wings, Wingmans has concocted the smokin’ whisky-infused Drunken Monkey wings which delight with a mouth-watering sticky sweetness balanced with a punch of sensational smokiness to finish off. Created by infusing Smokey Monkey whisky with Wingmans’ own barbeque and chipotle sauce, the wings are then finished with maple and whisky glazed bacon bits, crispy shallot rings and smoked Maldon salt.

The Smokey Cherry Old Fashioned takes the much-loved old fashioned and gives it an injection of fresh flavours all based around the sweetly peated Smokey Monkey Shoulder whisky. Shaken not stirred, the cocktail ingredients enhance the sweet vanilla, fiery black pepper, and bright citrus notes of the whisky by using dashes of sweet syrups, fresh cocktail cherries, fresh wedges of orange and a few drops of orange bitters. The Smokey Cherry Old Fashioned is served over ice and presented in a haze of smoke to tantalize the senses.

The Drunken Monkey wings and the Smokey Cherry Old Fashioned will be included on Wingmans’ late summer menu, available at London Kilburn and Soho restaurants, as well as on Deliveroo, until the end of August.

Speaking of the partnership, Monkey Shoulder’s Brand Manager Lauren Stamboulie said, “Just in time for BBQ Season, we’re introducing something smoky and delicious to be enjoyed with friends. We are already big fans of Wingmans at Monkey Shoulder and so it’s the perfect pairing – both being fun and vibrant brands which love pushing the boundaries of what’s expected. We want the Smokey Monkey Shoulder wings and cocktail, coupled with the atmosphere of Wingmans restaurants, to help ramp up that feel-good summer vibe and can’t wait to hear what people think!”

The limited-edition Drunken Monkey wings are available for £10 and the Smokey Cherry Old Fashioned is available for £10 until early September at Wingmans Kilburn and Wingmans Soho.
