One of the rail industry’s most respected voices, Richard Clinnick, features in the latest episode of Greater Anglia’s Life on Rails podcast to share his perspective on the future of the railway.
Presented by Lucy Wright and Dominic Rosso from the company’s Corporate Affairs team, Life on Rails gives passengers a peek behind the curtain of one of the country’s largest train operators.
Now in its third series, the magazine-style podcast features a wide range of guests from across the railway, alongside Greater Anglia colleagues at the heart of operations who explain how their work is helping to deliver consistently high levels of performance for passengers.
The series also explores how Greater Anglia is working to improve journeys, with colleagues and partners sharing how investment, innovation and collaboration are helping to transform rail travel across East Anglia.
Each episode takes a closer look at some of the latest Greater Anglia news, with Lucy and Dom exploring key developments and sharing additional insight into some of the company’s most talked about stories.
In the latest episode, Richard Clinnick, Editor of Modern Railways, joins the podcast to discuss his career and share his perspective on the major changes shaping the railway.
Richard reflects on more than 20 years covering the rail sector, discussing how the industry has evolved and the opportunities and challenges ahead as it continues to undergo significant reform.
Richard Clinnick, Editor of Modern Railways, said:
“I very much enjoyed being on the end of Greater Anglia’s questions for once, rather than the other way around.
“It was great to chat about my career, my experiences with Greater Anglia and my hope for the rail industry going forward.”
The episode also explores Richard’s journey into rail journalism, what it’s like editing one of the UK’s leading rail publications, and how the fast-moving nature of the industry keeps him constantly on his toes.
Dominic Rosso, Greater Anglia’s Senior Media, PR and Communications Manager, said:
“It was great to sit down with Richard and hear his perspective on the industry. He has spent years analysing the railway from the outside, so he brings a really balanced and informed view on where we’re heading.
“This episode is a really engaging listen for anyone interested in the railway, giving a clear and honest insight into both the industry and the people behind it.”
As well as the interview with Richard Clinnick, the episode features conversations with Greater Anglia colleagues, including Head of Business Readiness Keely Lopes and Head of Commercial Development David Metherell.
