07 Jun Midnight Walk returning after year of cancelled events for hospice
This summer will see the return of St Luke’s Hospice’s popular fundraising event.
After holding the event virtually last year, St Luke’s Hospice has announced that they are bringing the live event back on Saturday, 24 July 2021!
Registration is now open, and participants can choose to take part in a 5 or 9-mile stroll starting in Byron Park, Harrow.
The event, sponsored by St George’s Shopping Centre, is one of the charity’s biggest fundraisers, and this year’s walk aims to raise over £120,000 to help care for people in Harrow and Brent.
Hannah Richardson, St Luke’s Director of Fundraising, said: “After a difficult year for the Hospice, with events being cancelled or postponed, we are thrilled that we can finally begin to welcome back our events. The Midnight Walk is such a well-loved event in the community, and we are excited for you to experience the best one yet!
“The event is the perfect opportunity to shake off those lockdown blues and take part in a fun-filled event to support local hospice care. Every penny raised and every step taken will help us provide support to local families in need of our care. Please spread the word and join us this summer to celebrate the return of the Midnight Walk. Everyone is welcome!”
COVID-19 safety measures will be in place, and the event will be starting at a new family-friendly time. Tickets start from £7.50 for children and £17.50 for adults, which includes a free t-shirt and a participant medal.
