05 Feb Meet the Chelmsford Dancer Named Finalist for Mrs England Galaxy
A dance teacher hailing from Chelmsford currently the Mrs Chelmsford Galaxy 2016/17 has been announced as a finalist for this year’s Mrs England Galaxy UK pageant to be hosted in Lancashire from the 9th – 12th of March 2017!
Degree of Jewellery Designing graduate Sarika Golchha a married mother of two is very much looking to the final and has decided to support a charity during her quest towards the pageant finals, she told us “I have tasked myself to raise some funds for Christie charity and be associated with a good cause. As part of this exercise I am doing some free Bollywood dance lessons in schools”.
Miss Galaxy is considered one of the leading beauty pageants in the UK, The winner of Miss Galaxy will go on to compete in Miss Galaxy International in the USA.
Sarika went on to talk about her journey in the pageant world telling us “This is my very first experience in the pageant world. I wanted to challenge myself to do something different, and put forth my application for this pageant, only to get a surprise that I have been selected for the finals! My idea of the pageant is to experience something different from what I have been used to as a home maker – something out of my comfort zone.”
Despite Sarika’s newly found fame and success within the pageant world she is very much keen to support the local community and raise the profiles of various charities, she tells us “My future plan is to leverage on this experience to do more for the wider community. I am keen to help charities associated with Cancer and Under privileged children.”
