Before joining Barratt and David Wilson Homes in August 2022, the housebuilding specialist also held the title of Managing Director at Redrow Homes and Persimmon Homes.

Speaking about his role, Tom said: “Barratt and David Wilson Homes is a highly reputable and inspiring homebuilder, offering longevity and stability, while paving the way for sustainability with its Zed House initiative, and retaining the highest annual turnover among other UK housebuilders.

“With the variety of build and product mix being offered across the Barratt and David Wilson Homes brands, and the recent retainment of our Home Builders Federation (HBF) five-star rating, it is a great asset to be able to lead the teams in providing a diverse range of meticulously designed homes.”

The homebuilder currently offers properties at developments in Essex, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

Now eight months into his role, Tom is working hard to achieve his goal of business expansion and securing further opportunities for the developer.

He continued: “It’s very fulfilling to be part of the team with a drive to be successful and achieve a finished product to be proud of, while overcoming problems, and driving solutions and betterment.

“I have worked my way through the housebuilding business, starting my career as a qualified Chartered Engineer, and therefore have a good approach and understanding of the sectors.

“I aspire to continue my work in focusing on Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ values to achieve the best from people through respect, integrity, tenacity and a firm fair approach.”

Tom wishes to inspire the next generation of those who have completed their studies and anyone seeking a change in role to explore a career in the housebuilding industry.

He added: “As a company, we offer an excellent route to success with many career opportunities available for all. The industry itself includes all elements of business, from technical to financial and marketing, therefore I encourage anyone interested to find out what roles could be available for them.”
