MALDON MP GIVES SEAL OF APPROVAL ON NEW HOMES SCHEME IN BURNHAM-ON-CROUCH

23 Feb MALDON MP GIVES SEAL OF APPROVAL ON NEW HOMES SCHEME IN BURNHAM-ON-CROUCH

Essex housebuilder David Wilson Homes recently welcomed Maldon MP, John Whittingdale OBE, to its Corinthian Place development for a tour with its award-winning trio.

The leading homebuilder invited the constituency MP to visit its development on Maldon Road in Burnham-on-Crouch and go behind the scenes alongside Site Managers James Armstrong, Rob Ruffy and Jordan Cannon.

Each of the Site Managers won top-industry Pride in the Job Quality awards from the National House Building Council’s (NHBC) in 2021. James’ achievement came from the high-quality range of homes constructed at Corinthian Place, whilst Rob and Jordan were recognised for their work at Riverside Grange in North Fambridge and Blackwater Reach in Southminster respectively.

Also in attendance to provide John with an insight into the construction onsite were Managing Director Simon Wood and Construction Director John Farley of David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties.

John Whittingdale OBE MP said: “I was delighted to visit Corinthian Place in Burnham-on-Crouch and was most impressed by the high quality of the new homes as well as the standards of construction.

“I warmly congratulate the Site Manager, James Armstrong, on achieving recognition of this by winning a Pride in the Job Quality Award and also Rob Ruffy and Jordan Cannon on their awards for managing the construction sites in North Fambridge and Southminster.

“David Wilson Homes has an excellent record in providing quality homes in the District and I have no doubt that these three developments will prove extremely popular.”

As a local resident himself, having been MP for Maldon since 1992, John was able to learn more about the developer’s success in the Pride in the Job awards, with Rob and James going on to win the coveted Seal of Excellence awards towards the end of 2021.

Jordan, the youngest of the three Site Managers, is a success story for the leading housebuilder having first joined David Wilson Homes as an Electrical Apprentice over eight years ago at 16-years-old.

Whilst having a tour of the ongoing construction in Burnham-on-Crouch, John was also shown around the development’s show homes to see the finished product for himself.

Corinthian Place has been well-received by homebuyers since it initially launched in April 2019, and the community has fast become a sought-after setting for house hunters.

Accolades such as the Seal of Excellence awards rate Site Managers against key criteria such as technical expertise, health and safety, consistency, leadership and attention to detail. The awards celebrate the vital role Site Managers play in ensuring new homes are delivered on time, on safe sites and to the highest quality standards.

In 2021, Site Managers at Barratt Developments, parent company of David Wilson Homes, won 93 Pride in the Job Quality awards and 31 Seal of Excellence awards, more than any other housebuilder in the UK.
Simon Wood, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties, said: “We were delighted to welcome John Whittingdale OBE MP onto the site and discuss our fantastic Corinthian Place development. It was great to give him an opportunity to view the ongoing works and introduce him to James, Rob and Jordan, our award-winning Site Managers.”
Homebuyers at Corinthian Place can make the most of a renowned yachting community in a fantastic riverside location, home to a variety of artisan shops, restaurants and essential amenities.
