25 Feb London Southend Airport announce successful charities
London Southend Airport today held a virtual event to announce successful charities awarded funding from The Reindeer Runway Event held in December.
Over £7,000 was raised from The Reindeer Runway Event where members of the public joined airport employees in running the length of the runway to help raise funds for local charities. Today the successful charities were announced along with their exciting community projects which will benefit from the donations.
Glyn Jones, CEO London Southend Airport, “The original target of £5,000 was exceeded and we are thrilled with the result. Charities are suffering as a result of the pandemic and while our usual Santa flights couldn’t take place, we are pleased the team was able to continue to raise essential funds for local causes”.
