14 Dec Local school raises funds for Mayor of Basildon – David Harrison’s charities
Beauchamps High School in Wickord have raised a magnificent £1150 for the Mayor of Basildon – David Harrison’s Charities – “Be Child Cancer Aware” and the “Polly Parrot Appeal” at Basildon Hospital.
Head Boy and Head Girl accompanied by other students and Teacher Adam Farrugia, presented the cheque to the Mayor David Harrison.
Headteacher Mr Mat Harper said “It has been a privilege to be able to support the Mayor, and the worthwhile causes he champions, over the past two years. Our students are always keen to participate in the events organised and help raise much needed funds for those in need”.
The Mayor David Harrison thanked the school for its efforts and said,
“This is the second year that Beauchamps High School has supported my fundraising, and it is very much appreciated by not only myself, but by the children it helps”
