20 Sep Local law firm Ellisons Solicitors is awarded its fifth consecutive Lexcel accreditation
East Anglian law firm, Ellisons Solicitors has been awarded the Law Society’s international legal practice quality mark, Lexcel, for the fifth consecutive time. Gemma Garen, who has recently been promoted to Director of Quality and Compliance at Ellisons, led the firm’s Lexcel evaluation process.
The Lexcel accreditation, an optional, widely-recognised scheme, is awarded to law firms that provide excellence and outstanding service in client care and practice management. In order to gain and then retain Lexcel accreditation over a five-year period, Ellisons has undergone a number of rigorous application and assessment processes.
The quality mark is an objective and external assurance for clients and potential clients alike, and it can help law firms win new business, gain operational efficiencies and reduce the risk of claims through improved compliance with regulatory requirements.
John Turner, Ellisons’ Chief Operating Officer commented: “We are incredibly proud to have secured this prestigious accreditation for the fifth time. It is a testament to the team and our Lexcel recognition demonstrates our commitment to client care and best practice.”
Ellisons originally received the Lexcel Accreditation in April 2015, and the firm has worked hard to maintain the highest standard of business efficiency as evidenced by this latest award.
The law firm, which has recently merged with Bury St Edmunds-based firm Gross & Co. has expanded its overall team to almost 250 staff. Louise Taghi has joined the business support team as Practice Manager (Bury St Edmunds) and in the last year, its marketing team has grown by 50% under the leadership of Poppy Tamang, who has recently been promoted to Marketing and Business Development Manager.
