A local firm aims to raise £30,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital as they kickstart their signature fundraising initiative.

Davis Construction continue their support of Great Ormond Street Hospital in a bid to raise a staggering £30,000 for the charity, with their ‘Oh My Gosh!’ initiative. Saturday the 9th of September will see over 40 brave volunteers take on the 194 foot drop as they abseil down the Civic Centre in the Essex town of Southend-on-Sea.

The Oh My Gosh! initiative founded by Davis Construction’s Managing Director, Tom Davis, is back for its second year to help raise funds for London’s, Great Ormond Street Hospital.

As one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals, the charity is very close to Tom’s heart having been diagnosed with Leukaemia at the age of 8 years old and treated by the team at Great Ormond Street. In his own words – “it was the relentless pursuit of their medical team which made it possible for me to be here today.”
