25 Jul Local Colchester Performing Arts Students to light up Disneyland Paris
Talented students from Stagecoach Performing Arts Colchester are among 18 other schools that will take to “Dance The Dream” pre-parade outside Cinderella’s Castle at the world-famous Disneyland Paris, between the 21st and 24th of July 2022.
This follows a variety of amazing performances by Stagecoach schools throughout the year, as many students missed out on performing live in 2020. The showcase provides the students with a chance to come together and showcase their talents overseas, for what is set to be another fantastic showcase. Performing arts helps build on their creativity, courage and skills that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
Stagecoach Colchester is alongside various Stagecoach Performing Arts schools that have been rehearsing for what will make another spectacular event. These include students from Abingdon, Bath, Bury, Chorleywood, Dorking, Edinburgh North, Epsom, Erith & Bearsted, Northampton, Salford, Sheffield, Shrewsbury & Oswestry, Sidcup, Solihull, South Tyneside, Sutton, Torquay & Newton Abbot and Welwyn Hatfield.
Disneyland Paris, which has been open since 1992, has been home to theme parks, entertainment and nature parks, all dedicated to world-renowned Disney characters such as Cinderella, Aladdin, Toy Story and many others.
Stagecoach Colchester Principal Caroline Maxwell said:
“We have 27 students going on the trip and they are all extremely excited! They will be performing in the Pre-parade and outside the Castle, but were also lucky enough to get through the audition for the show at the Videopolis theatre so have been working very hard on their routine “Here Comes Summer”. I am really proud of them all and truly hope it will be the trip of a lifetime!”
