28 Nov Local charity’s Christmas Gift andFood Fair hailed a success
Over 3,500 shoppers flocked to Chelmsford City Racecourse at the weekend for the HRCC Christmas Gift and Food Fair – raising money on behalf of Helen Rollason Cancer Charity.
The Fair saw over 90 retailers come together to sell a range of high-end items including gifts, homeware, jewellery, art, books, toys and much more. Amongst the exhibitors were lots of well-known brands, including Neal’s Yard Remedies, Phoenix Trading and Le Creuset, as well as exclusive, independent traders.
It was smiles all round as visitors watched live entertainment from a variety of performers including the Braintree Male Voice Choir, The D’Ukes, The Sound Collective, Dunmow Wind Band and Chelmsford Guitar Orchestra.
Outside the grandstand was a food promenade where visitor could enjoy hot drinks or sample gastronomic treats including gourmet cheese toasties, turkey rolls and hog roasts. Meanwhile, younger members of the family were delighted with a visit from Father Christmas himself. There was even a raffle to win a deluxe Tiptree hamper.
