LOCAL CARE HOME CELEBRATES SILVER SUNDAY TO BOOST WELLBEING OF RESIDENTS

06 Oct LOCAL CARE HOME CELEBRATES SILVER SUNDAY TO BOOST WELLBEING OF RESIDENTS

Residents and staff at Croft House Bupa Care Home in Essex recently marked Silver Sunday – the national day that celebrates the older generation, coming together and connecting with the community around them to help boost wellbeing.

The celebrations, organised by the Activities team at Croft House, had a rock ‘n roll theme, complete with a buffet and a live music performance from Nick Caruso, as residents rocked out to classic hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s.

To create as much of a memorable celebration as possible, the team at the Bupa care home also enjoyed a visit from Councillor Patrick Lavelle, Mayor of Great Dunmow.

Home Manager, Lydia Halliday commented: “What a fantastic afternoon! It was an honour to have the mayor visit and the live music went down a storm too.”

Lydia added: “All of the team and residents had a brilliant time celebrating Silver Sunday. Here at Croft House, we know how important it is for our residents to continue to enjoy new activities and to connect with one other. We look forward to continuing to host activities that put a big smile on our residents’ faces!”
