06 Nov Local Businesswoman Starts the Party Early This Christmas With Top Acts From Britain’s Got Talent & American Idol
A businesswoman and her family who run the Channels Estate near Chelmsford is starting the party early this year when they launch their roster of top-class entertainment.
Katie Squire and her talented sister Charlie, who makes up one half of the acoustic duo Squire and Smith, together with the two older generations of the Stubbing family who own Channels, are laying on an impressive calendar of musical entertainment starting this month.
The slightly risqué evening starts with table wine served by the Buff Butlers, entertainment by Drag Queen Tiffany Wells followed by a classic disco. Not for the faint-hearted, this is the first of a number of party nights to combine her restaurant’s award-winning cuisine with Christmas fayre and late night entertainment.
Katie and sister Charlie are the force of nature behind this year’s line-up and take pride in bringing quality acts to Channels which comprises two separate venues in a country estate on the edge of the village of Little Waltham near Chelmsford.
“Christmas is a special time for family and friends and pushing the boat out does not have to involve a journey into London. This year, we have some great acts including Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Rory Jackson. He’s the nation’s most successful Michael Jackson tribute act and will recreate Jackson’s music and moonwalking magic at Channels on Thursday 6th December,” explains Katie.
It is said that after Rory Jackson’s semi-final performance, Simon Cowell said: “If I was watching that from another 100ft away, I would’ve thought that was Michael Jackson.”
Also featured on the Channels events calendar is the sensational Jeff Dingle who will perform his homage to Bruno Mars on Tuesday 18th December. Dingle’s performances on American Idol made him an overnight sensation and in 2018 he was the winner of the National tribute music awards 2018.
Katie, Charlie and the family are certainly putting their heart and soul into Christmas. Katie says: “This is the time of year to pull out all the stops. We have some incredibly talented acts. I can’t wait to get the party started!”
