22 Jan Livewire Rock Academy announce details for their bi-annual charity concert
Livewire Rock Academy are holding their bi-annual charity concert at Rhodes Arts Complex this Sunday, 27th January.
The rock schools, who have outlets in Bishop’s Stortford, Great Dunmow, Saffron Walden and Epping will be showing off their talented students who will be playing classic and contemporary rock songs by bands such as White Stripes, The Gossip, The Zutons, Deep Purple, Catfish & The Bottlemen and many more.
Livewire is managed by the Bishop’s Stortford-based musician and song-writer Dean Austin, who leads the concert with his powerful vocals!
The event will also feature a short set by “Teenage Revolution”, the Great Dunmow-based four piece band who include Livewire students.
Once again Livewire will be holding a “rock raffle” in the interval in aid of local Mencap charity Grove Cottage.
Prizes have been donated from Marshall amplification and Norman’s Musical Instruments, an online music retailer who have donated 2 guitars.
Tickets for the event are priced at £7 each and can be bought from the Rhodes box office.
The concert will start at 7pm.
Free taster sessions are available at Livewire Rock Academy for adults and children who want to learn how to play electric guitar, bass and drums.
The schools offer a unique “jam session” as part of every lesson where students play together in a band format, a huge boost to their progress and development as a musician.
