20 Oct Lennon Gallagher joins Tessuti campaign
The premium fashion destination Tessuti today shares a new episode of their revealing interview series Stand Out Stories which features the model and musician Lennon Gallagher. Sporting designs from the current PS Paul Smith autumn / winter 2021 collection, Lennon is the second member of the Gallagher family to be profiled in the series after his younger brother Gene was highlighted earlier this year.
The son of the Oasis legend and hugely successful solo artist Liam Gallagher, Lennon steps into the spotlight to share his thoughts on his music influences, his approach to style, and why he keeps a low-profile on social media. He also discussed his band Automation, who released their debut EP ‘In Motion’ earlier this summer and will headline Windmill Brixton on November 7th. He commented:
“Certain bands like Slint, King Crimson, Black Midi, Fat White Family, they’ve all influenced us, and as we’re progressing as musicians, we’re learning new techniques and new ways to make music that we didn’t really think about before… I’d define it as cacophony, just loud, harsh. It definitely has rock elements [and] experimental, we like to push boundaries as much as we can.”
Lennon also reveals that he feels vulnerable when it comes to attending castings for fashion projects. He said:
“It’s always pretty difficult putting yourself up for castings and stuff and putting yourself out there. And then there’s like hundreds of people who maybe look a bit like you, look so different to you, and like everyone is going in and out, and you’re like, ‘I’m not going to get this!’ You kind of do get a bit insecure, I can’t lie.”
Lennon chose a selection of new PS Paul Smith designs to wear for the interview and accompanying photo shoot, with his striking selections including a cosmic zebra sweatshirt and a keyhole hoodie. Designed in London, PS Paul Smith is a new, youthful men’s collection that includes colourful cotton essentials, sportswear inspired designs and a wide range of denim.
Everything that Lennon wears in the campaign is available from Tessuti’s PS Paul Smith collection.
