Do you have a question about plans for your area or what the council is doing to improve life for you and your neighbours?

Cllr Andrew Baggott, Leader of Basildon Council, will host a series of Q&A events around the borough to keep residents informed on how their money is being spent and provide updates on ongoing projects.

He said: “We are committed to working alongside residents to understand and respond to the issues which matter most to them.

“Do you want to know what we are doing to regenerate your area? Would you like to know why certain decisions have been made by the council? Or are you interested in finding out how we can better support your community?

The first Meet the Leader session will take place at Laindon Community Centre, in Aston Road, on Thursday 12 July. This will be followed by a further eight events across the borough over the next eight months. They will take place on the following dates:

Langdon Hills

Thursday 23 August 2018 – Women’s Institute Hall, Samuel Road

Fryerns
Wednesday 12 September 2018 – Ghyllgrove Community Association, Butneys

Wickford
Thursday 27 September 2018 – Wickford Community Centre, Market Road

Crouch
Thursday 25 October 2018 – Noak Bridge Village Hall, Coppice Lane

Burstead
Thursday 8 November 2018 – Little Burstead Village Hall, Laindon Common Road

St Martin’s
Thursday 22 November 2018 – George Hurd Centre, Audley Way

Billericay
Wednesday 20 January 2019 – Billericay Women’s Institute, St Edith Lane

Pitsea
Thursday 21 February 2019 – The Place, Northlands Pavement

All Meet the Leader events will take place between 7pm and 9pm.
