KING Charles needs to give a TV interview to undermine Prince Harry’s “assault” on the Royal Family, according to royal biographer Tom Bower.
Commenting on Harry and Meghan’s appearance at an LA Lakers basketball match, he told GB News: “She [Meghan] is gearing up with a story, clearly ready to strike hard just when the coronation happens and the Palace is allowing this to happen.
“The only way in my view which they can actually now undermine Meghan and Harry’s assault is with King Charles giving an interview to explain what the coronation is about, what his reign is about, what he believes in and to actually stamp his image and his views.
“Everything is staged with Meghan, that’s her genius. She clearly didn’t want to have a kiss at the match for whatever reason, maybe because it would smudge her makeup, who knows, but the point is, they were sitting next to each other for one particular purpose, and that was for those pictures to be seen in Britain and for us to be talking about it.”
In a discussion with Dan Wootton, Mr Bower continued: “They want to destroy the coronation, they want to destroy the coronation with all the attention on them. They want to show how awful the Royal Family was not to give them what they demanded, and they think they’re on a winner.
“And King Charles’s mistake is that he’s giving them the oxygen and the fuel to run their campaign.”
He added: “He should at this moment be giving an interview explaining what being king of England means, he should be dominating the headlines but the Palace has allowed the Sussexes to run away with the agenda..
“She is assiduously undermining what’s happening in Britain, because King Charles did not strike when the iron was hot and get rid of her.”
