20 Dec Jet2.com and Jet2holidays announce major growth at London Stansted Airport
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has responded to phenomenal customer demand for flights and package holidays from its new base at London Stansted Airport, by adding four new routes, extra capacity and more aircraft – before flights even commence!
Ahead of its first flights launching from London Stansted on March 30th, the leading leisure airline and package holiday specialist has seen excellent trading and demand from customers in the south of England, leading to the addition of new routes Antalya, Corfu, Dalaman and Split which are all on sale now.
Today’s announcement means that a total of 96 weekly flights will operate to 25 fantastic leisure destinations during Summer 2017. This growth is supported by the addition of an extra aircraft, meaning that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate seven aircraft from London Stansted. In total, including Winter 17/18, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays now operates to a total of 27 destinations from its newest base.
Flights to each of the four new routes will operate twice weekly throughout the summer from July. On top of this, the company is also announcing more flights during the summer to some of its most popular destinations. This includes:
· One extra flight every Monday to Majorca (now ten flights every week and at least one flight daily).
· One extra flight every Thursday to Menorca (now four flights every week).
· One extra flight every Saturday to Crete (now four flights every week).
· Two extra weekly flights (Saturday and Sunday) to Zante (now four flights every week).
In total, the new routes and additional flights represent the addition of over 65,000 extra seats, taking the total number of seats on sale from London Stansted to over 875,000 – a capacity increase of 8%.

Travel Airlines Survey. This comes on the back of other accolades this year, including being voted the ‘UK’s Top Airline’ and ‘Most Loved Airline’ by users of TripAdvisor and Skytrax respectively.
