09 Feb Jaywick Martello Tower to host FREE music sessions for young people
Time to get the drum kits and the guitars out -the historic Jaywick Martello Tower is hosting FREE music sessions for young people aged 8 to 18 years old.
The music sessions will run hourly from 5pm at the Jaywick Martello Tower every Tuesday during term time, and they are open to residents who live in Clacton, Jaywick Sands and surrounding villages.
The sessions available are 5pm to 6pm, 6pm to 7pm or 7pm to 8pm.
From electric guitar or bass, to rocking out on the drums or singing, the sessions are a great opportunity to learn new music skills and meet like-minded individuals who are interested in forming a band. The sessions also welcome individuals who are already part of a music band.
There are sessions for beginners and established musicians who would like to improve their music skills.
The music sessions have been provided by the Harwich based charity, “We are Music,” which helps young people to engage in the community through popular music.
They have been funded through Arts Council England, Essex County Council’s Cultural Development Team and the Essex Music Hub.
