03 Jan Jay Austin: THE ONLY WAY IS ST HELENS…
By Jay Austin
Essex Stars dazzle in Aladdin Pantomine.
Last night I got VIP treatment with Brad Pitt BodyDouble and Lookalike Nathan Meads at the historic Theatre Royal in St Helens at the Aladdin Pantomime featuring Essex’s favourite Princess Amy Childs, ex Towie star Harry Derbidge, Harry Potter Actor Josh Bennett and ex XFactor star David Heath.
The all star cast lineup didn’t disappoint! It was a packed audience and they all loved the first song which was Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop The Feeling” from the Hit movie Trolls!
Ex XFactor Eton Road singer David Heath performed the JT Number perfectly! He wowed the crowd and had everyone dancing on their feet!
Then on came PC Noodle AkA Towie’s Harry Derbidge he was wearing a fabulous sparkly Blue sparkly Policeman’s outfit with Diamanté encrusted Sneakers! Harry was bringing the Essex bling to St Helens! His ShutUp one liners were having the family audience in stitches!
Playing Pantomime Villain Abanazar was Ex Shameless Actor Warren Donnelly he was absolutely brilliant!
Amy Childs walked on to the Panto stage to loud cheers in heels and a eye catching outfit as Slave of the Ring!
Amy brought some TOWIE magic to St Helens last night and the audience were not disappointed she was excellent all night and considering she is pregnant she deserves a 10/10 rating. She didn’t make any mistakes, her singing was on point and she still has some dance moves! We need to see more of Essex’s Amy Childs on TV!
Princess Jasmine in St Helens was Blood Brothers beautiful actress Olivia Sloyan she was note perfect on all songs, Olivia was flawless playing the Princess! Surely she has big things ahead for 2017.
St Helens resident Dame Widow Twankey was played by the funny Simon Foster the young Children were laughing and poking fun at the Panto Dame!
Harry Potter actor Josh Bennett the UK’s most famous Dwarf was the Genie of the Lamp and the crowd loved Josh, his endearing personality shined through his performance in St Helens! I would be hard pressed to see a better Genie of the Lamp in the Country!!!
At the interval myself and Brad Pitt Lookalike went back stage to see the cast and it was very refreshing to see how happy and enthusiastic they all were, you can see they are a close knit cast.
The bell rings and its time for the 2nd half and just before it starts myself and Brad Pitt need some snacks, they lovely ladies in the snack shop are friendly and lovely they have some banter with Nathan my Brad Pitt Lookalike ask if they can have some selfies and ask what we think of the Pantomime so far!
I ask them who are your favourite cast members the lady behind snack shop till says Amy Childs and the cheeky Josh Bennett, she tells us about how hard working Amy has been over the duration and how she hasn’t moaned at all!
We take our seats for the 2nd half and I’m taking pictures of the show and get told of by one of the Theatre ushers, the highlight of the last hour was the wonderful David aka Aladdin on the amazing Flying Carpet!
Not the best quality picture but I got caught on my camera!
Harry Derbidge’s Lip Sync Battle made me think he should be on the next series on Channel 5 with Mel B & Professor Green!
The hilarious Ben Engelen as Wishee Washee delighted young and old in the audience, but my personal favourite had to be Amy Childs her performance was 5 star and she made it look like The Only away is St Helens, the show was that good I will be going back again before it ends on Sunday 8th January!
Credit must go to Writer Liam Mellor and Director Chantelle Nolan who also added some Disney sparkle all the songs were well received and the crowd were on their feet at the end!
After the show we went backstage chatted to the cast and how humble and nice it was to talk to David Heath and Olivia Sloyan they need to be on our TV’s in 2017.
Josh Bennett was polite and nice he took time out to have a picture with Brad Pitt
