05 Nov JACKIE DOYLE-PRICE PLEASED TO FIGHT THURROCK AGAIN FOR THE CONSERVATIVES
Thurrock Conservatives have unanimously backed sitting MP Jackie Doyle-Price to fight the constituency again in the forthcoming election.
Jackie said, “I look forward to fighting to win Thurrock for a fourth time. The stakes have never been greater. The country wants Brexit over so that we can get on with other things. Boris Johnson has negotiated a deal which enables us to leave the EU in an orderly way so that we can get into the next phase and agree a free trade deal with the EU. Failure to pass the deal is causing more uncertainty for business and is starting to damage our economy. So it is important that we elect Boris and deliver Brexit so that the country can move on to other things.”
“I look forward to continuing to the work we have started to improve funding for schools; to deliver 20,000 more police officers and to spend an additional £394m a week on the NHS. I will continue to fight for Thurrock. Since 2010 we have seen the Government fund four new schools with more on the way. We have received money for improving Junction 30 and for widening the A13. We have received money for regeneration of Grays and Purfleet. And we are moving forward to deliver improved health services. I will make sure we get the money promised for Grays and Tilbury and I will also make sure that we get our East facing slips.”
“A vote for anyone other than the Conservatives risks Brexit altogether and will certainly bring more delay. It also means that Jeremy Corbyn will be Prime Minister in time for Christmas.”
