12 Apr Inside 2019’s Autism Dance Day
Every year AnnaKennedyonline celebrates Step in the Right Direction Autism Dance Day and in our first year we received UNESCO Patronage. It was a fantastic success and everyone was dancing in lots Schools, Colleges , Offices ,Youth Clubs, in your lounge at home in fact everywhere across the UK.
On the last Friday in April every year we celebrate this event and we encourage large numbers of special needs and mainstream schools to organise dance events to raise funds for local Autism support groups and charities.
Please see YouTube video below with some ideas for streetdance steps with Jonathon Baron and his students . He talks about the benefits of dance for individuals on the autism spectrum. I also share a few zumba steps with my zumba teacher Gabriel.
We all know the positive benefits of dance for those with Autism so join in, throw some shapes and have fun!
