03 Dec Impington International College wins Cambridge student public speaking competition
Year 12 students from Impington International College were crowned the winners of the annual Rotary Youth Speaks public speaking competition, beating teams from The Leys, Chesterton Community College and Netherhall School. The team will go on to compete in the district final in March 2024.
Commenting on the win, Principal, Victoria Hearn, said: “I am tremendously proud of both of the teams that entered the competition from our Sixth Form and delighted for our winning students. The result is a testament to their growing confidence and strong oracy skills. Debate and discussion are nurtured by the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and our students are looking forward to showcasing their skills at the district final next year.”
