14 Feb HOUSEBUILDER DONATES £1,500 TO ADDENBROOKE’S CHARITABLE TRUST
Barratt Homes has kickstarted the year with a donation of £1,500 to the Paediatric and Neonatal Decision Support and Retrieval Service, based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridgeshire (PaNDR).
The housebuilder’s donation will enable Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT), the only charity dedicated to making patient care at Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals even better, to fund state of the art medical equipment, as well as continuing to provide critical ambulance care for newborn infants and children requiring transfers across the East of England.
In addition to specialist retrieval, PaNDR provides expert clinical advice to health professionals caring for children, from extremely preterm infants up to 16 years of age.
This donation comes from The Barratt Foundation, the housebuilder’s charity partnership, which aims to support local charities and groups wherever Barratt Developments PLC operates across the UK.
Joe Sagoe, Corporate Lead at Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust, commented: “We are incredibly grateful for donations from supporters such as Barratt Homes as they enable us to continue providing essential care to the East of England.
“This support will enable us to deliver treatments quicker and with the best possible equipment, ensuring we can provide vital diagnoses, treatment, and care at Addenbrooke’s Hospital to save lives.”
Marc Woolfe, Director of Sales and Marketing for Barratt North Thames shared: “It is fantastic to see services such as PaNDR supporting children by providing specialised treatment and critical care ambulance for patients in need. We have a personal connection to this service as it has greatly helped a member of our team at Barratt Homes and we hope our donation will assist the trust in providing its extraordinary service to hospitals in the area.”
Barratt North Thames is currently building a range of new homes across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire, such as at St Rumbold’s Fields, Kingsbrook, Clipstone Park, Linmere and Sawbridge Park.
