06 Sep HONEST BURGERS LEVELS UP WITH HALLOUMI 2.0 LIMITED-EDITION BURGER
It’s one of the nation’s favourite cheeses, but this September Honest Burgers is joining forces with an exciting new start-up to create a limited-edition halloumi-based special with a difference.
The Halloumi 2.0 burger has been created in partnership with one of the UK’s hottest burger start-ups, Cawsburger, and blends Honest Burgers’ classic beef with fresh Briddlesford halloumi from the Isle of Wight, made from 100% Guernsey cow’s milk to give it an extra creamy flavour.
Available now across Honest Burgers’ 43 UK sites until 3rd October only, the Halloumi 2.0 is a decadent double dairy burger which pairs the award-winning halloumi with American cheese courtesy of the creative flavours conjured-up by the Hitchin-based Cawsburger whose name means ‘cheeseburger’ in Welsh.
The rich flavours of the cheese combination is topped off with a mild heat courtesy of the sriracha mayo, chipotle jam, lettuce, and pickles for added crunch.
Adam Layton, Honest Burgers Head of Collaboration, said: “I first heard about Cawsburger when we were opening our St Albans restaurant in early 2021. They were popping up at their local coffee shop in Hitchin, serving the most delicious looking, simple, high-quality burgers. You could just tell they cared about every single ingredient – particularly the beef.
Now they’ve opened their first bricks and mortar restaurant in Hitchin they’ve got some real momentum. The burger bloggers are all taking notice and that’s great for the scene. We’ll be seeing much more of Cawsburer, I’m sure.”

Honest Burgers’ Halloumi 2.0 collaboration with Cawsburger is available now throughout September until 3rd October for £14. As with all Honest Burgers meals, the special is served with homemade rosemary chips as standard.
