26 Sep HOMEBUILDER AND INTERIOR DESIGNER HIGHLIGHT WHAT’S TO EXPECT INSIDE BRAND NEW ESSEX HOMES
David Wilson Homes has teamed up with Artspace Interiors to share the inspiration behind the new show homes at the housebuilder’s Mortimer Place development in Hatfield Peverel.
The development off Birkdale Rise, which has two, three and four bedroom properties for sale, has proven popular with Essex homebuyers due to its sought-after village location.
There are currently two show homes open to customers at Mortimer Place; the three bedroom Hadley and the four bedroom Holden style homes, which were designed by interior designers, Artspace.
Annette Hurst, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties, said: “Each of our properties at David Wilson Homes are built to the highest standards using top quality materials.
“We take just as much pride in our interior designs as we do to our exteriors, and the show homes at Mortimer Place are no exception.”
Kate Letteriello, Managing Director at Artspace, has shared the details on why the two carefully-crafted homes at Mortimer Place are the perfect choice for those looking to move home this summer.
The Holden
The Holden is a four bedroom detached home which has been perfectly designed with growing families in mind.
Currently on sale from £649,995, this spacious home boasts an open-plan kitchen and dining area, four double bedrooms, a bay-fronted living room with an additional reception room, and French doors which lead to a fully turfed garden.
Kate said: “The Holden is upmarket, opulent, and contemporary in design, with a strong palette of greens and golds.
“The green helps to add drama to the interior of the property, with the gold tones assisting to warm up the scheme to help it feel inviting to its owners and guests.”
Kate explains how the interior design of the property was influenced by the large amount of open space which surrounds the development.
“We used the idea of open space to give one of the children’s bedrooms a nature theme.
“There is a local cricket club close to Mortimer Place which we used as the theme in the other children’s bedroom, and this provides a very unique and memorable design for homeowners to enjoy.
“We love that the Holden style home is bold through the use of some really cool wallpapers and one of our favourite things is that it still feels nice and homely due to the cosy textures used.”
The Hadley
The Hadley is a three bedroom detached home which has been designed to suit all the family.
Currently on sale from £479,995, this light and airy property consists of an open-plan kitchen and dining area, two double bedrooms and one single, as well as a garage which holds parking for up to two cars.
Kate said: “The Hadley has a bright, contemporary scheme, with modern elements such as white gloss furniture and LED lighting.
“It has a loose colour palette of soft blues, blush, muted yellow and mint, which means that the colours can be layered without it feeling overpowering.
“We used soft cottons and natural linens to help warm up the modern elements of the property.”
The children’s room in the Hadley was inspired by the colour palette, as Kate and her team created a bespoke wallpaper with large shapes in the mint, blush and yellow tones, paired with mint furniture to complete the room.
“We love how bright and airy the Hadley feels – the hand painting in the lounge is some of our favourite elements and the paint effect behind it really helps to make the painting pop!
“The nursey is also so cute and fun, and it is definitely our favourite room.”
