16 Jul HOLLYWOOD BOWL BASILDON DAZZLES AFTER £400,000 MAKEOVER
On Thursday 15th July, Hollywood Bowl Basildon hosted a VIP launch event to celebrate its £400,000 refurbishment, where guests were bowled over by the makeover results.
The popular venue, located on Festival Leisure Park, reopened on May 17th with its glossy new look after renovations were completed over lockdown. The VIP night saw Marilyn Monroe and guests celebrate in true Hollywood style complete with bowling and bubbles.
Now a latest generation Hollywood Bowl centre, Basildon’s makeover saw the upgrade of its 26 lanes, including four VIP lanes decked out in plush furnishings, a state-of-the-art scoring system and Hollywood décor to allow for the real star treatment.
In addition to the enhanced bowling facilities, the centre’s amusement area has also been transformed and expanded, now featuring more of the most popular games including Space Invaders, Mario Kart and Halo.
Guests who visit the new-look centre can also treat themselves to delicious food and drinks from the updated Hollywood Diner. With American-style classics on offer such as tasty burgers and dogs, as well as freshly made thick shakes and signature desserts, guests can sit back and relax after their bowling.
Antony Parker, Centre Manager at Hollywood Bowl Basildon, said: “Thanks to our fantastic new refurbishment, we’ve been able to offer guests so much more variety as well as a completely new look. The centre is now fit for a Hollywood superstar and the response from customers so far since reopening has been amazing. We’re excited to continue offering our unique family entertainment to bowling fans across Basildon.”
Hollywood Bowl Basildon has adopted a ‘Have Fun, Play Safe’ policy to ensure the centre’s safety measures are in line with all Government guidelines. This includes the installation of unique lane seating dividers which allow guests to enjoy their own space, as well as newly designed, distinctive balls which are designated to each lane.
Other measures include cleaning all balls, touch screens and seating after each customer group, appropriate spacing between amusement machines and dining seating, with social distancing measures and signage throughout each venue. Guests can also wear their own shoes to bowl in.
Guests are encouraged to make bookings ahead of their visit via the Hollywood Bowl website. Bookings will be limited to maximum group numbers in line with Government guidance.
