As well as helping hundreds of holiday-makers with their travel plans this year, Dan Lion and his team at Holiday Designers are also aiming to help a local children’s hospice over the next few months.

Dan, who owns local independent travel agency Holiday Designers, is an avid fitness fan and together with his team, they have committed to a number of fund-raising activities where all the proceeds will go to the Haven House Children’s Hospice.

Haven House Children’s Hospice provides support for children, young people and their families who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Their 100 Club is a community of like-minded local organisations working together to inspire, support and encourage each other in their businesses, whilst pledging to achieve an annual fundraising goal of £1,000 each for Haven House.

To raise funds Dan and the Holiday Designers team has committed to:

• a 100 Mile Challenge
• 1 x 55 mile bike ride – London to Brighton
• 3 x half marathons – London Landmarks, The Vitality Big Half + One other TBC (13.1 x 3 = 39.3 miles)
• Skydive from 13000ft (2.5 miles x 2 – Dan & Phil)
• 1x kids treasure hunt (Holiday Designers team & families)

Dan says: “We operate an established and successful independent travel business locally and feel it’s important to give something back to the community. We are working with Haven House because of the incredible work they do. We will be really pushing the limits with what we have set ourselves both as a team and individually, but we remain focused on raising our target of £1,000 and nothing will stop us. We will be so grateful to anyone who donates.”
