29 Mar Help Essex & Herts Air Ambulance – without leaving home
Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) is calling on the people of Essex and Hertfordshire to keep supporting the charity during the Coronavirus pandemic. Our team of fundraisers is suggesting a range of fun and easy fundraising ideas to keep you busy during the lockdown.
Although both EHAAT airbases – at North Weald and Earls Colne – are closed to all non-essential visitors, the charity’s critical care teams are currently able to work 24/7 attending the most critically ill and injured patients.
Natasha Robertson, Fundraising Manager says, “Like everyone in the communities we serve, our critical care teams, charity staff and volunteers are concerned about what the future holds for them and their loved ones.
“Coronavirus is a big challenge for everyone but at EHAAT we are staying focussed on keeping our critical care teams operational 24/7 and to do that, it is as vital as ever that we keep raising funds.”
Following the postponement or cancellation of a number of EHAAT’s fundraising events and initiatives, the fundraising team are offering a number of ways to get behind the charity without leaving your home.
Natasha continues, “Even if you can’t attend an event at the moment, you can have a sponsored shave or silence, host a quiz, ask people to rate your home baking creations, play the EHAAT Flight for Life Lottery or our Spring Raffle. There are lots of fun ways to hold an `event’ and share it digitally with your family, friends and colleagues via social media and video conferencing.
“We hope the people of Essex and Hertfordshire will continue to help us make sure our crews are there for them during these difficult times.
