Harlow Residents invited to come and shape the way policing is delivered

23 Jan Harlow Residents invited to come and shape the way policing is delivered

Essex Police are inviting local residents to join them for a special meeting this Wednesday 25 January at Harlow College, Velizy Avenue at 6:30pm.

The meeting, chaired by the Harlow Independent Advisory Group, will give you an opportunity to have your say and help Essex Police provide a fair and non-discriminatory police service to all communities in Harlow.

Whether you would like to offer the police advice or guidance, give them constructive feedback, or raise an important issue about policy development or police recruitment, they would like to hear from you.

The aim is to better help Essex Police understand how their processes and policies can affect the many diverse communities in Harlow.

The key roles of the Independent Advisory Group are to:

• build communities’ trust and confidence
• promote community cohesion
• act as critical friends
• promote the reporting and prevention of hate crime
