03 Mar Halstead’s Davina Steel Launches New Gluten Free Snack Range
Award-winning gluten free bakery, Davina Steel, has launched a brand new range of baked snacks to fill a gap in the market for gluten-free on-the-go products.
Davina Steel Bakery is the only commercial gluten-free and nut-free bakery in East Anglia. Following on from the success of its home-baking kits and mixes, the company has now responded to the demand for easy-to-carry snack packs, with the launch of a new range of baked snacks that will help when hunger strikes.
There are seven snacks in the new range, with both sweet and savoury options to choose from, including crostini in three flavours: Garlic & Rosemary, Onion, and Lightly Salted, biscotti in two flavours: Lemon & Poppy Seed and Orange & Choc Chip, shortbread biscuits and gingerbread mini bites.
The range is accompanied by the supremely popular Gingerbread Men, which will be decorated in seasonally-appropriate attire for Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter; the first batch is ideal for mother’s day and spring and come with hearts or heart and flowers, in mixed batches.
“Ever since we opened our own purpose-built gluten free bakery last year it has been our intention to create our own branded bakery range,” explains Davina Steel, co-founder of the brand. “We’ve noticed a huge gap in the market for good-quality and delicious gluten free snacks that can be enjoyed on the go. There’s little out there to cater for this category so we’ve filled the gap with a range that should appeal to all tastes and eating occasions.”
Davina Steel expects the products to prove popular as both impulse purchases and every day treats or nibbles. “It is often very difficult to find good-quality gluten free snacks when you’re out and about. Our new range ticks so many boxes for allergy sufferers and meets the growing demand for out-of-the-home snacking.”
