Greater Anglia helped spread festive cheer at Stansted Airport station last week by hosting a Christmas carols performance from pupils at Bentfield Primary School.
Around 30 pupils delighted passengers and staff with a selection of well-known Christmas carols, filling the station with seasonal music as travellers passed through.
Dressed in colourful Christmas-themed outfits, the children’s performance drew smiles from commuters, with many stopping to listen and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
The event formed part of Greater Anglia’s ongoing efforts to create a friendly, welcoming environment for customers, particularly during the busy Christmas travel period when stations are at their liveliest.
Alan Neville, Greater Anglia’s Community and Customer Engagement Manager, said:
“This is a wonderful, community-led initiative, and we are really pleased to be supporting the pupils from Bentfield Primary School as they help to spread Christmas cheer to everyone passing through the station.
“Moments like this can make a real difference to our customers’ journeys, and we hope the performance brought a smile to people’s faces during the run-up to Christmas.”
The festive performance provided a welcome and uplifting start to the day for customers travelling through Stansted Airport station, highlighting the positive role local communities can play in enhancing the experience of rail travel.
